My research activity focuses on the integration of microanalytical techniques for the mineralogical-petrographic analysis of natural and artificial stone materials, with particular attention to the use of Correlative Microscopy (CM). This approach allows the combination of different analytical methodologies on the same ROI (Region of Interest), enhancing the extraction of microstructural, textural, and geochemical data compared to traditional multi-analytical approaches. The project includes the development of specific protocols for the advanced characterization of samples through multivariate statistical analyses and georeferencing in GIS/LIS environments.
